Join Simon Cairns, Nationwide General Manager of BCG Attorney Search, as he interviews Raffaele Murdocca, a BCG Attorney Search recruiter based in BCG’s Atlanta office. Cairns studied law at the Westminster School of Law in London and also at the Inns of Court School of Law before qualifying to become a barrister in 1999. He moved to the United States and began working as a recruiter in 2004. Murdocca studied law at Emory University in Atlanta and worked at a large law firm for a few years before transitioning into recruiting. He specializes in the permanent placement of attorneys in the five major Southeast markets: South Florida, Central Florida, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Atlanta.
Murdocca discusses the benefits of practicing law in the Southeast, including reduced billable-hour requirements, better quality of life, sophisticated work, and better odds of becoming an equity partner. He also states that the Southeast has additional perks, such as its relatively inexpensive housing market. Murdocca talks about the hot practice areas in each of the five major Southeast markets and states that opportunities for improved quality of life, profit, and sophisticated work are available in the Southeast.
